| Programme description | The first year is concentrated on six courses, with formal teaching sessions, seminar work, and writing of papers and reports, while the second year is focused on writing a Master thesis.; The central course will introduce "Methods and Issues in Intercontextual Theology" as described above. A course on "Jesus and the Kingdom of God" will study central Biblical texts in the religious, cultural and political contexts of the Gospels, as well as in the contexts of modern readers, especially in Africa and Latin-America. A course on "Faith, Health, and Care" will deal with the understanding of pain, illness and suffering, both in the first and the third world contexts. Other courses deal with "Interreligious Relations", "Theological Gender Studies", "Church and Society", "Religion and Globalization", "Peace and Conflict", "Old Testament Theology". The courses offered will alternate from year to year. |
