| Programme description | The programme aims to provide the academic foundation for a career in voluntary organizations, civil and military administrations, the educational system and research. It encompasses a diverse array of course work from different disciplines such as social science, law, arts, theology and education.; The objective of the program in Peace and Conflict Studies is to develop knowledge, qualifications and theoretical insight in topics and problems concerning peace, war, violence, conflict and conflict resolution on different levels of society. The programme aims to give insight into causal relations, connections and possible solutions related to war and conflict. |

| Application deadline | 1 December for quota applicants 1 February for self-financing students. 15 April for Norwegian/Nordic applicants and applicants with permanent Norwegian residence permit. |

| Application procedures | 1) Application Form. 2) Official transcript showing the grades and number of credits on the different courses that make up your Bachelor?s degree. 3) A course in research method together with a list of required reading showing the literature used in that particular course. 4) Letter of motivation, explaining your motivation for applying to the Master Program in Peace and Conflict Studies as well as a short summary of your background and work/organizational experience. Only letters written in English will be accepted. 5) Proof of English skills

| Formal prerequisites | Applicants must have completed prior university studies in the subject of the programme for which they are applying.; Students from non-English speaking countries are required to have passed one of the following tests: TOEFL test with at least 550 points or IELTS test with at least band 6. |
