Programme descriptionThe MSc programme in Condensed Matter Physics and Biophysics (previously MSc in Physics) at NTNU, consists 60 credits of courses, and a master's thesis of 60 credits. Students can choose betwen two specializations: Experimental Physics or Theoretical Physics.; Experimental Physics: - Biophysics - Energy and Environmental Physics ; Theoretical Physics: - Field Theory and Particle Physics - Physics of complex systems. - Statistical mechanics of many-particle systems - Strongly correlated systems and quantum fields - Quantum optics

Formal prerequisitesAcademic requirements: BSc degree in Physics, consisting of a minimum of 1.5 years of Physics, and one year of Mathematics and Statistics ; English requirements: International applicants should document either a TOEFL test with a mimum paper score of 500 (170 computer based test) or better, or an IELTS test score of minimum 5.0 or better.
