Programme descriptionThe Master Programme in Music Performance, Classical Music will give the students knowledge and skills to communicate through music on a high professional level. The students will also develop their professional basis for reflection and creative thinking through the work with their Master thesis. Course contents:

  • Individual performance and Ensemble (45 credits)
  •  
  • Master thesis with music performance (60 credits)
  •  
  • Scientific Theory and Scientific Methods (15 credits); The master programme makes use of individual guidance and lectures. Most of the time the students will practice on their main instrument and in ensembles. Participation at and organizing different concerts is a compulsory part of the programme. Foreign students may write their master thesis in English. The individual guidance is also given in English.

    Formal prerequisitesExam from a Bachelor programme in Music Performance (180 credits). Students also need to pass an entrance exam. Foreign students have to prove adequate proficiency in English (normally TOEFL or IELTS test). Written proposal to the subject of the master thesis has to follow the application.
