| Programme description | Bioinformatics is a subject, spanning over several different topics where biology, medicine, computer science and statistics intertwine. The basis for bioinformatics is the massive amount of biological sequence data derived from genomic studies and structural biology and stored in large data bases. Computational biology also involves mathematical modelling of biological systems. |
