| Programme description | The medical applications using radionuclides are of increasing importance. Tomographic techniques such as PET (positron emission tomography) and SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) and the use of radionuclides for tumour therapy require special education. Uppsala University has for many years been world leading in the area. This front-line education meets the increasing demand of nuclide technique educated physicians, nurses, assistants, pharmacists, physicists, biologists and chemists, especially radiochemists. |
