| Programme description | The programme trains junior researchers for community health challenges and qualifies for an academic carrier as scientist or an administrative as health planner and coordinator. People with this education have found jobs in public and private research institutions and universities and in public administration and international NGOs. The research project (master's thesis) is usually undertaken as a ?sandwich? with co-supervision from the students? home institutions and addressing issues prioritized in the home country. The research projects are often linked up to major development projects in collaboration with Norad, NUFU or other bilateral or multilateral development agencies.; The students will gain knowledge and skills in the following main areas: - scientific and organisational basis for community health work; - critical scientific evaluation of the knowledge base for community health work - planning, implementation, data analysis and reporting from independent research |
