Programme duration2 years

Programme descriptionThe MPhil programme at the Academy aims to encourage students to focus on themes that emerge from their own national and cultural setting, and to deal with these topics on the basis of recognized methods and with constant reference to the on-going research in the disciplines concerned. The Masters programme intends to support competence building in institutions at university level, teacher training colleges, and theological seminaries/faculties and similar units in foreign countries, especially in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.; A major focus in the development of the programme has been the wish to pave the way for international cooperation and nurture the development of understanding across national borders and ideologies. It is our sincere hope that the presence of Masters degree students from abroad shall further enrich the academic and social atmosphere of the Academy and contribute towards new insights and understanding of current issues of global interest, especially third world issues, and render contributions to the internationalization of Norwegian education and theology.
