| Programme description | How can we feed a growing world population and ensure a safe water supply under the threat of climate change? As we need to decrease our use of fossil fuels, how can alternative energy carriers such as biogas or ethanol be effectively produced and utilised? How can we minimize the destruction in human lives and material caused by natural disasters?
