| Programme description | Are you interested in the sea as a cultural and historical resource? Fascinated by shipwrecks and submerged settlements? The new postgraduate programme in Maritime Archaeology is designed for students who are interested in a professional career in maritime archaeology and heritage management. Maritime archaeology - A practical discipline Our Masters programme is internationally oriented and all teaching is in English. In addition to teaching you the practical and theoretical principles of maritime archaeology, we’ll also provide training in project management law and economy, so that you’re well prepared, whichever career path within maritime archaeology you choose. With international teaching staff with backgrounds in heritage management, commercial Diving and contract archaeology, our aim is not just to provide an education in maritime archaeology, but to prepare you for a career in this field. We are looking forward to share our experience with you! Become a commercial diver Knowing the limited budget of most students and the necessity of having a relevant commercial diving qualification for a career in heritage management or contract archaeology, we offer the possibility to obtain the Danish commercial SCUBA diving certificate as a supplement to the Masters course at very low cost. The certificate is equivalent to the British HSE SCUBA certificate and recognised by the HSE. Successful course participants will also be issued with the European Scientific Diver certificate. |
