| Programme description | Objective The aim of the first year of the Master´s Degree course is to further develop the student´s ability to read advanced texts in Chinese, as well as to develop a critical and analytical ability to relate to and utilise various forms of source material in the study of the Chinese language and Chinese culture.; The student will then use this competence in the individual work during the course´s second year. The subject for the thesis is decided in co-operation with the supervisor, primary- and secondary material is collected, theory and method is discussed with the supervisor and the thesis is written under supervision. |

| Formal prerequisites | Applicants for Master's Degree Programmes are required to have a minimum of 3 years of study at a recognized university or college beyond the minimum requirements for matriculation at a Norwegian institution of higher education, which means to a level equivalent to a Norwegian Bachelor Degree. ; Applicants must also meet the English language requirements: TOEFL-test score of at least 550 (written) or 213 (computer-based) or IELTS overall band of at least 6.0. |
