Programme descriptionOn completion of the programme, you will have substantial founded knowledge and skills in informatics. You will have obtained a thorough introduction to scientific work methods and training in self-contained work doing extensive and demanding technical tasks. You will have developed special skills within a research field, and a good overview of other research fields. Within the Master's Programme in Informatics you can choose among the following specialisations:; Algorithm Theory Bioinformatics Coding Theory and Cryptography Optimisation Program Development Theory Software Engineering
 
Application deadlineSelf-financing applicants: Application deadline for applicants from a non-visa country (do not need a visa to enter Norway) is 1 April for the autumn semester/1 October for the spring semester. Formal prerequisitesA first degree (bachelor's degree) of three or four years duration from an approved institution of higher education, as well as proficiency in the English language. Your bachelor's degree must include courses equalling 20 ECTS of mathematics and 60 ECTS of informatics.
