| Programme description | The Master of Food Safety will give the candidate a good understanding of the basis for work in various areas of food safety. The courses will cover basic and advanced food microbiology and food toxicology, but also general principles for food safety work, risk analysis and risk-based work in general. The first year of the master's programme will also include a compulsory course in research methodology. Having completed the compulsory part, the elective modules separate into two main directions: Basic science linked to modules in Advanced Food Microbiology, Advanced Food Toxicology and Drug residues/ Pharmacoepidemiology. Applied food safety work with focus on food inspection systems, risk assessment/ epidemiology in the module Modern principles of Risk Based Food Inspection ; Aspects of these two main directions may be combined, but each student has to choose a main direction of her/ his study. |
