| Programme description | We are proud to offer this two-year international Master Programme in Higher Education in cooperation with five other European universities. The programme is focused on the changing functions, policies, and operations of higher education in a comparative perspective. It is a unique programme in two ways; - As a result of the involvement of universities from six European countries it is the first European Master?s programme on higher education. - In addition, because of the various areas of specialisation of the universities involved, the programme covers a broader range of disciplinary perspectives on higher education than any other Master?s programme on higher education in the world.; The programme introduces many general disciplinary concepts, theories, and perspectives, and discusses their relevance for understanding change processes in higher education at various levels, i.e. the basic unit (department, institute, faculty), the institutional level, the national as well as the supra-national level. Various disciplinary perspectives are referred to for discussing and analysing change processes in higher education originating both inside and outside the traditional institutional and national frames. These perspectives are highly relevant not only for researchers, but also for practitioners, i.e. managers, policy-makers, and leaders at all relevant levels. |
