| Programme description | The Institute for Educational Research at the University of Oslo is offering, in cooperation with the University of Aveiro, Portugal, the University of Tampere, Finland, and a number of research centres and institutes throughout Europe, a two-year master's programme in higher education. The programme is focused on the changing functions, policies, and operations of higher education in a comparative perspective. ; This is a joint programme. The students spend time at all three universities and are awarded a joint degree upon completion. ; The aim of the programme is to educate personnel with advanced, specialised knowledge in higher education to work in governments, public and private institutions, non-governmental organisations, international development agencies, and multinational corporations, as well as future higher education research. Because of the various areas of specialisation of the universities and centres involved, the programme covers a broader range of disciplinary perspectives on higher education than any other master's course in higher education. |
